After a day of grey grim rain the wind suddenly veered SW around 3pm and picked up. This tempted me to the beach arrrggghhh. Arrived 3.30pm and it was 5.2 weather. By the time I had rigged and wetsuited it had dropped to 5.8 weather. So changed up...had one decent powered up run out and in...and then had a muppet moment in the shorebreak whilst tightening my harness and GRRRR voila one big rip in the centre panel of my 5.8. Arse.

I should have given up there and then but I thought I would dry the sail out in the sunshine before it went to the sail repairers, and in the meantime go out again on the 6.6 which would have been plenty at the time that the decision was made. So re-rigged...again...and by the time I'd got to the water the wind had dropped even more...again...and backed bolt onshore, to sub-sailable levels. Bollox.

One of those sessions where everything went wrong. I shouldn't have bothered and it has cost me one trashed sail. Ho hum sh*t happens still a good weekend overall after yesterday's stonker.
